Extreme Restraints Essay Contest
BDSM 101 has partnered with ExtremeRestraints.com to bring the students of San Francisco State University the opportunity to explore their sexual side! BDSM 101 is a course being taught on campus (yes, a real course! EXCO 301.13) to help enlighten students to the world of BDSM and all it has to offer.
Students in this course have been given a place to express their thoughts and feeling as they look within to figure out how BDSM can positively influence their relationship with themselves and others.
After speaking with Extreme Restraints about what my students have come up with, they wondered how the overall population of SFSU feels that BDSM can impact their relationships. Thus, our essay collaboration was born.
Contest Details
The focus of your essay will be:
"How can BDSM positively influence my relationship with myself and with others?"
The contest will be open from November 1, 2021 until December 12, 2021. Winners will be announced on December 17, 2021. Winners will have their essays posted to Extreme Restraint's social media and/or website. You may have it posted under a pseudonym if you'd like.
The essays will be first sorted by a neutral third party who removes all of the cover pages (the page that has your name, see example below) and then given to a select group of students in BDSM 101. Students will filter out essays and choose their top favorites. From there, I (Marylee, the teacher) will choose my top 4 to be the winners. Neither the students nor myself will see names attached to the essays before judging. If you have a privacy concern, please send me an email at BDSM101EXCO@gmail.com.
Contest Rules
The work must be your own. Any sources referenced must be cited in some way. A list of website/article links and/or titles is good enough, a full bibliography is not required.
You must answer the question in its entirety.
Responses should be at least one full page. View the document below for formatting.
Have fun with your answer! We aren't looking for an uber professional essay, write from the heart. This is an essay about sex, afterall.
